落叶灌木，高可达 2.8m ，树皮灰褐色平滑。花与叶同期开放， 4-5 朵簇生于二年生枝，花梗短粗，花瓣近扇形，重瓣，花色初期由白黄色渐变浅红色，直径 5 -6cm ，花期自 4 月上旬至下旬，有较高的观赏价值。
